REACHModus 3 - Post-registration Services

REACHModus 3 includes support with Post-SIEF activities, such as substance authorsation and restriction advocacy services, safety data sheet preparation, hazard communication and on-going hazard and exposure assessment.

REACH is an on-going requirement for industry and will require regular attention. Changes in substance hazard classification and exposure scenarios will initiate new chemical assessments, the results of which need to be communicated to downstream users.

REACHModus 3 is broken down into the following modules.

Authorisation and Restriction Advocacy Once the registration dossier has been submitted jointly by the SIEF and at an individual level, it is important to plan for the outcome of authorisation or restriction measures placed upon substances by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA). Restrictions to substances or particular uses of substances can cause serious impacts to businesses and supply chains.

It is best to prepare for such outcomes by gathering technical and socio-economic data in defense of your case. H2 Compliance can assist the client and SIEF to both develop a technical and socio-economic case for the authorisation of their substances for use through our in-house expertise and network technical, legal and advocacy parthers.
Safety Data Sheet Preparation and Communication A key outcome of REACH is to create extended safety data sheets for substances (in compliance with GHS requirements), which will include final exposure scenario information, authorisation and restrictions for use.

H2 Compliance can offer a facilitation service for the complilation of Safety Data Sheets, language translation and communication within the supply chain.
On-going Chemical Assessment REACH does not finish with the authorisation of a substance; uses and knowledge change. Businesses must keep up-to-date with the classification, uses and exposure scenarios of their substances and must also conduct on-going hazard and exposure assessment to reflect these changes. The output from such asessments must also feed back into the Safety Data sheet which must be re-communicated to the Downstream Users.

As well as this, businesses have a duty to communicate changes in use to Manufacturers and Importers, for substances that they use as a downstream user.

H2 Compliance can assist the client to conduct chemical assessment where required and can also help with hazard communication via amended Safety Data Sheets.
Annual Reporting Registrants must submit to ECHA, an annual report on tonnage/volume manufactured and imported into the EU. H2 Compliance can assist the client to gather such data and compile the report on behalf of the client.
