Regulatory Drivers
The placing of Cosmetics in the EU and GB market is controlled by the EU Cosmetics Regulation ((EC) No. 1223/2009) and the GB Product Safety and Metrology etc. (Amendment etc.) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 respectively. All cosmetic products, including imported products, must comply with these regulations which define the Responsible Person, the Data that must be collected, Formulations, Labels and Notifications.
Achieving Compliance
We can assist you with complying with the EU and GB regulations, including the Responsible Person requirement, preparation of the Product Information File (PIF), Cosmetics Safety Report (CSR) and Notification to both the CPNP and GB Cosmetic Product Notification. We have bespoke software for the compilation of the PIF and CSR, including a library of toxicological profiles for cosmetic ingredients.
