Regulatory Drivers
If you deal with hazardous chemicals – you need correct Labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to communicate these hazards. If unsure – we can help you establish classifications.
Globally Harmonised System (GHS) classifies chemicals by hazard types and sets requirements for communicating the hazards on Labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS). In the European Union, the Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulation (CLP) is based on GHS, as is the Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) in the United States. Countries have some flexibility to how they implement GHS, which adds complexity to product compliance worldwide.
